[𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃] The 4th Year Bachelor of Science in Community Development (BSCD) students of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) College of Development Management (CDM) proudly marked a significant milestone on August 23, 2025, with their pinning ceremony—a symbolic passage from academic preparation to the responsibilities of future community leadership. This event was both a celebration of their achievements and an anticipatory embrace of the practical challenges that lie ahead.

The afternoon began with the students entering the venue, proudly accompanied by their parents, signifying the strong support system behind their success. The ceremony quickly shifted focus to equipping the interns for their next phase, through engaging talks on professionalism and managing stress in the workplace—two vital skills for their impending roles.

Following these preparatory sessions, CDM Dean Dr. Aristeo C. Salapa offered an encouraging message to inspire the students. The proceedings continued with thorough guidance on the practicum requirements, as Dr. Bernadeth A. Talip and Mr. Roel S. Sayson presented key chapters of the Practicum Handbook. These sessions clarified expectations and prepared the interns to navigate their upcoming responsibilities with confidence. An interactive open forum provided a valuable opportunity for students and their parents to discuss concerns and seek clarifications.

The highlight of the event was the solemn pinning ceremony itself. Each of the 43 students walked across the stage with their parents by their side to receive their pins, symbolically affirming their new role as agents of change, ready to make a difference in society. The ceremony also featured a candle lighting ritual and the recitation of an oath, where the students committed to embodying patience, courage, and active participation throughout their journey.

More than just a celebration of academic success, this pinning ceremony stood as a profound reminder of the commitment and integrity required in the field of community development. With this rite of passage, the students are now poised to embark on their internship and future roles, steadfast in their dedication to making a meaningful difference wherever their paths may lead.
