CT launches the KiblaONE CT-UPGRADE (Kiblawan Comprehensive Training in UPskilling the Grassroots for Responsive and Adaptive DEvelopment),


The College of Technology (CT) recently launched its new extension program, the KiblaONE CT-UPGRADE (Kiblawan Comprehensive Training in UPskilling the Grassroots for Responsive and Adaptive DEvelopment), at Molopolo National High School in Molopolo, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, on April 19, 2024. The event was spearheaded by Mr. Joseph G. Villarmino, the College Extension Head and Program Leader, alongside Dr. Philip B. Despares, the OIC Dean of the College, and Ms. Mia Cris C. Daarol, the school head of Molopolo NHS, represented by the OIC, Wilfredo S. Cavan Jr. Also present during the activity were the project leaders: Dr. Ovil M. Basug, and Mr. Bernabe C. Bontilao, as well as the activity leaders: Dr. Alma Mae G. Salinas, Assoc. Prof. Jayson T. Sasotil, Assoc. Prof. Jocelyn B. Dofitas, Assoc. Prof. Amiel B. Marata, and Mr. Jeriel D. Mugas. This comprehensive two-year initiative aims to enhance grassroots skills and promote responsive community development.
Participants in this endeavor include Graduates of TVL, teaching and non-teaching personnel of Molopolo National High School, and the interested individuals around the community. They will undergo training across multiple disciplines, including Domestic RAC Servicing, Computer Literacy (with a specialized emphasis on AutoCAD), Driving, House Wiring Installation, and Electronic Product Assembly and Servicing.
This Extension program underscores the College’s dedication to promoting human capital development and enhancing workforce outcomes. Moreover, the program endeavors to catalyze sustainable societal progress and uplift communities by equipping the participants with the requisite skills for navigating the contemporary employment landscape.
