
The College of Technology recently concluded Project 4 – House Wiring Installation, an initiative under the KiblaONE CT-UPGRADE Extension Program. Mr. Joseph G. Villarmino and Mr. Bernabe C. Bontilao served as the as Program Leader and the Project Leader, respectively. The training was conducted on May 24–25, 31, and June 1, 7–8, 2025, at Molopolo National High School, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur. The project engaged alumni, teachers, and community members in hands-on training focused on installing safe and code-compliant home wiring. Participants received expert instruction from extensionists Dr. Joel G. Ayon, Dr. Philip B. Despares, Assistant Professor Jennifer B. Calipusan, and Associate Professor Leonardo M. Rulida, along with graduate students Ms. Jella Mae A. Ramas and Mr. Jan Smith Hermitaño, and staff member Ms. Kenelyn Mae F. Tato. The project has a three-part training series covering electrical codes and regulations, safe and effective wiring installation, and troubleshooting and repairing home electrical systems. This extension initiative reflects the College’s commitment to uplifting communities. By equipping participants with practical electrical skills, the program helped build confidence, competence, and readiness to support the region’s evolving workforce needs.
