In a significant triumph for the field of technology innovation, Mr. Jeriel D. Mugas, a faculty member of USeP- College of Technology (CT), has achieved commendation for his groundbreaking research. His research paper, titled “Design and Development of Cacao Beans Drying Machine,” emerged victorious as the Best Paper in Cluster 2 during the esteemed NOSTE 2023 International Research Conference, Training Workshops and Biennial Convention.
The researchers from all over the Philippines gathered together in a hybrid platform (onsite and online) at Negros Residences in Bacolod City, Philippines and via zoom respectively, witnessed Mr. Mugas’ paper being recognized for its innovative contributions to the realm of cacao processing technology. The research study on specialized cacao bean drying machine showcased the potential to revolutionize the cacao industry and elevate agricultural practices.
Furthermore, Mr. Mugas demonstrated exceptional competence in presenting his research, securing the 3rd place in the Best Oral Presenter category. His ability to articulate and convey the significance of his work reflected his dedication and expertise in presenting his study.
In addition to individual achievements, the event also highlighted the commitment of esteemed professionals in the field in the National Organization of Science Teachers and Educators, (NOSTE) Inc. Dr. John Mark S. Francisco of USeP-College of Education, assumed the significant role as Vice President for Mindanao while Asso. Prof. Jayson T. Sasotil, recognized for his academic contributions, was appointed Ex-Officio of the organization. His role as the Immediate Past President of NOSTE, Inc., demonstrates his continued dedication to fostering growth and progress within the field of science , technology and other related discipline.
