Dr. Rey A. Castillo, a faculty member from the University of Southeastern Philippines- College of Business Administration (USeP CBA), took part as one of the research presenters in the 2nd World Trade Conference held jointly with the 30th IAGBT-KITRI Biannual Conference and Research Symposium at Incheon National University in South Korea last August 16-18, 2023. This conference gathered scholars and academicians from all over the world to share cutting-edge knowledge on global and business trade issues.
Co-authored by other CBA faculty members, Dr. Castillo’s presented research titled, “Value Chain Analysis on Organic Vegetable Production of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) under the DAR-IARCDSP” adhered to the conference’s theme: “Leveraging Business and Trade Recovery Strategies and Insights for Inclusive Growth in the Global Economy.” The research is also deemed as a feasible project for community development and extension.
Apart from the research presentation, the conference also viewed the possibility of discussing future collaborative activities in the areas of instruction as well as research and extension. This can be an essential platform in building more networks for future endeavors.
This international engagement is one of the many avenues of the University in expanding its reach to the international community and fulfilling the strategic plan in research, development and extension.
