To commemorate the success of the first ILMU event, the USeP Language and Literature Department (LLD) proudly presents the 2nd ILMU International Lecture Series on Applied linguistics. Let’s embark on this linguistic adventure together with our first lecturer, Prof. Dr. Maya Khemlani David of the Universiti Malaya, on November 8, 2024.

Dr. Maya Khemlani David was previously a Professor of Sociolinguistics at the Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Languages and Linguistics and is currently an Honorary Professor at the Asia-Europe Institute. Her intellectual interests center on language planning, language choices, maintenance and shift and discourse analysis. She has authored over 400 journal articles and book chapters, and serves on the editorial board of numerous journals including The European Journal of Applied Linguistics and TEFL, Philippine Journal of Linguistics, and Southeastern Philippines Journal of Research and Development.
