Understanding the importance of maintaining open lines of communication and cooperation between the University and the local government, the USeP Top Management, led by University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., paid a courtesy visit to Mabini Mayor Hon. Emerson L. Luego to discuss collaborative initiatives on April 29, 2024 at Mabini Municipal Hall.
President Gabales was accompanied by Vice President for Administration Dr. Ma. Luisa B. Faunillan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension Dr. Roger C. Montepio, and Tagum-Mabini Campus (TMC) Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva. Also in attendance was TMC Vice Chancellor Dr. Cesar A. Limbaga, Jr.
For his part, President Gabales expressed keen interest in exploring various avenues for partnerships with the Mabini Local Government Unit (LGU) that would champion community development and academic advancement.
During the meeting, USeP likewise presented its Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan to align it with the LGU Mabini’s plans. This will help both parties identify how they can contribute to the advancement of the community they serve.
On the other hand, Mayor Luego expressed his gratitude for the visit of the USeP Top Management. He emphasized his administration’s unwavering support for forging ties with the University. Further, the Mabini Chief recognizes the invaluable contributions of USeP towards realizing their collective goals of socio-economic advancement and inclusive development.
Meanwhile, both parties agreed to explore potential engagements beneficial to the development of both students and the Mabini community.
