University President Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr. addressed the USeP Obrero faculty, non-teaching personnel (NTP), and students during the flag-raising ceremony on July 29, 2024.
He informed the community that last week was the close of off-semester classes and this week signals the new Academic Year 2024-2025 opening.
Moreover, he enumerated significant events that capped the academic year 2023-2024. One of the notable accomplishments of the USeP community is the awarding of the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Level III Recognition for Mastery in Quality Management which was re-enacted during the USeP PQA Day on July 24, 2024 at the University Gymnasium and Cultural Center (UGCC), USeP Obrero Campus.
Other important activities included the Institutional Development Planning (IDP) Workshop which is vital for the crafting of the 2025-2027 plans of the University. Dr. Gabales also acknowledged the NTP’s immense contribution to the University’s successes. The NTP had their general membership assembly on July 26, 2024 at the D’Leonor Inland Resort & Adventure Park which Pres. Gabales also attended.
As USeP prepares for the start of the new academic year, Dr. Gabales urged everyone to participate in ensuring that the University surroundings are clean. He likewise announced this week’s visit of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chair Dr. J. Prospero De Vera III and his team to check on the academic unit’s programs including the School of Medicine (SoM) and the College of Engineering (CoE). He wrapped up his message by wishing everyone a fruitful new academic year.
