[๐๐ข๐ข๐] In celebration of the University of Southeastern Philippinesโ (USeP’s) 46th Founding Anniversary, the USeP School of Medicine (SoM), in collaboration with the USeP Health Service Division (HSD), organized a community health screening and medical mission for USeP employees. The initiative aimed to promote health and well-being among the University staff and faculty by offering a variety of free medical services, including consultations, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, blood typing, uric acid testing, fasting blood sugar (FBS) screenings, and electrocardiograms (ECG). The event provided employees with the opportunity to undergo important health checks, helping to detect early signs of common conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues.
Medical specialists from the USeP School of Medicine, led by the Dean Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, along with faculty members Dr. Marites L. Domingo, Dr. Amelia Anastasia D. Ang, Dr. Charisse Elden G. Atup, Dr. Ferguz Bogdan R. Alastra, and Dr. Love Joy Ferraren – as well as HSD Director Dr. Kristi Ann J. Cabonita, were able to attend the activity, which was well executed under their care, providing quality and necessary health services to the employees.
In addition, fourth-year medical students from the School of Medicine played an integral role in the success of the event. They assisted in the health screenings and patient consultations, gaining valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the Universityโs commitment to community service. This endeavor showcased that USeP truly cares for its employees and that preventive healthcare is crucial for sustaining a healthy and productive academic environment.
