SMAARDEC Director and CAEC Dean Dr. Gilbert Importante joined the review as the principal evaluator of research proposals from the different departments of the college. CAS Dean, Dr. Ana P. Ocenar, convened the Local Research, Development, Extension, and Innovation Council (LORDEIC) later in the morning.

This activity concluded the series of research capacity-building activities that the college, spearheaded by CAS Research Head Ms. Judee Nogodula, has sponsored this month to strengthen the scholarly endeavors of the college.
