M.A.L.I.P.A.Y.O.N. Day 2023

In honor of Women’s Month, the College of Development Management GAD Office, the Health Services Division, and the Mintal Campus Student Council held the annual M.A.L.I.P.A.Y.O.N. Day celebration on March 23, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The theme was “WE for gender equality and an inclusive society.”
Dr. Aristeo C. Salapa, CDM Dean, gave the opening remarks and shared his experiences with health and wellness. Ms. Kethelle Sajonia, CDM GAD Coordinator, discussed why the program is important. She then introduced the resource speaker.
The expert who is a registered nutritionist and dietician led an informative discussion on the importance of nutrition and provided practical tips on how to make healthier food choices. The attendees left the talk feeling empowered and inspired to make positive changes in their diets. Many women expressed how much they enjoyed the talk and how much they learned about their bodies’ needs. They shared their knowledge and experiences with each other and supported and encouraged one another.
Ms. Karlyn Rose Panes, RND, was happy to share her knowledge as she talked about “Nourishing Yourself: A Guide to Checking Your Nutrition on Women’s Day” and a free meal plan program for the College of Development Management’s faculty and staff.
During the Women’s Sports Day and Art Exhibition, the students participated in different sports events in the afternoon.
We’re so proud of everyone who attended the event and took the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Remember, self-care and self-love are important aspects of our lives, and we must prioritize them.
Happy National Women’s Month!
