[#𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒] The College of Development Management joins the nation in celebrating the 2022 National Women’s Month. This year’s theme released by the Philippine Commission on Women is, “Agenda ng Kababaihan Tungo sa Kaunlaran.”

This year’s celebration aims to highlight the gains achieved for women and girls, assess actions towards gender equality, and look forward to steps that must be taken to ensure progress in empowering women. It is an opportune time to give Juanas the power to lay down the blueprint for future leaders, in terms of essential gender issues that demand immediate attention and solution. This Women’s Month, Juanas take center stage – standing up for their rights, challenging stereotypes, breaking barriers, and serving as pioneers of change. This year, the nation recognizes women’s valuable role in the society and proves that inclusive and sustainable development is only possible when gender equality becomes obtainable.
The implementation of #PurpleTuesdays of all employees of CDM are encouraged to wear purple every Tuesday whether working on site or working from home for the month of March in support of women’s empowerment and gender equality.

This annual celebration is in accordance to; Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988 declaring the first week of March each year as Women’s Week and March 8 as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day, Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988 providing for the observance of the Month of March as Women’s Role in History Month, and Republic Act (RA) 6949 s. 1990 declaring March 8 of every year as National Women’s Day.
