USeP CEd in collaboration with GAD Office conducts Webinar on Mainstreaming Gender in Education: Use of Gender-Fair Language and SOGIE Awareness

The College of Education (CEd) in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office conducted a Webinar on Mainstreaming Gender in Education: Use of Gender-Fair Language and SOGIE Awareness last June 4, 2021 via Zoom platform. The activity was also attended by the General Education faculty from both the College of Teacher Education and Technology (CTET) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and faculty representatives from other colleges/units of the university.

The webinar provided the faculty with inputs on how to integrate gender lens in the curriculum, thus, heightened their awareness on GAD and pressing gender issues in the new normal. Speakers were Prof. Nephtaly Joel Botor from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos and the Regional Director Jeff Y. Fuentes of the Commission on Population in Zamboanga City.
