Fostering Excellence in Educational Research: College of Education Hosts In-House Review of Research Proposals

In a testament to its commitment to advancing educational research, the College of Education (CEd), through the Mindanao Center for Education Research, Training, and Innovation (MCERTI), successfully conducted an In-house Review of Research proposals on October 19, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Held at the CEd Audio-visual Room (AVR), the event showcased the research endeavors of the faculty and staff aligned with the University and College Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Agenda.

The review process aimed to generate exemplary research outputs that align with MCERTI’s core research thrusts: curriculum studies, pedagogy and innovations, school governance, educational assessments, and teacher training services. Thirteen research projects/programs/studies were presented to a distinguished panel of evaluators comprising Dr. Rec E. Eguia, faculty of the College of Development Management at USeP Mintal campus, and Dr. John Stephen Curada, Director of Heartworks Learning Center and USeP Senior Lecturer, both renowned experts in the field of education.

The evaluators provided insightful feedback and suggestions to the research proponents, guiding them towards enhancing the quality and impact of their research endeavors. This initiative aligns with USeP’s unwavering commitment to fostering a research culture and producing research outputs that address global, national, and regional development priorities while serving the needs of the communities it serves. Through such dedicated efforts, the College and MCERTI continue to play a pivotal role in promoting excellence in educational research, shaping the future of education in the region and beyond.
