The College of Education (CEd) of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) in collaboration with the Department of Education Region XI (DepEd-XI) conducted a five-day writeshop in developing diagnostic assessments for all learning areas in the K to 12 curriculum from August 15-19, 2022 at the Department of Education XI– National Educators Academy of the Philippines (DepEd XI-NEAP) Davao City. The training and workshop activity aimed at providing technical-assistance to the Department of Education XI towards enhancing capabilities among teachers in designing diagnostic assessments in all learning areas in the curriculum.
Highlights of the writeshop comprised of placement of the most essential learning competencies and test construction. Resource persons from USeP-CEd shared core ideas about diagnostic test design. The participants from various DepEd divisions were tasked to produce at least 60-item tests for key stages in English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, Values Education, Technology and Livelihood Education and Music, Arts and Physical Education which were then reviewed by the USeP CEd Content Experts and Reviewers from the College of Education.
