USeP-Mindanao Center for Policy Studies meets with the Bangsamoro Commission for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (BCPCH)

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), Mindanao Center for Policy Studies, meets with the Bangsamoro Commission for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (BCPCH) to discuss their project on Bangsamoro Literature.

Today, July 21, 2022, USeP Mindanao Center for Policy Studies Research Team, met with the BCPCH headed by Chairperson Salem Y. Lingasa, Ph.D., to discuss their project on Bangsamoro Literature.

Representatives from the aforesaid institution have requested the BCPCH for suggestions as the primary organization in preserving the cultural heritage of the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the Indigenous Communities in the region.

While there are countless Philippine Literature textbooks available, there is still a scarcity of resources on Bangsamoro Literature. To make Philippine Literature inclusive of Bangsamoro Literature, the University of Southeastern Philippines encourages Bangsamoro creative and academic writers to share their original literary works. They intend to gather Bangsamoro stories of hope, struggles, peace, and development.

The University of Southeastern Philippines will coordinate with various Bangsamoro ministries and offices, one of which is the BCPCH.
