About PAD


The Public Affairs Division (PAD), together with the Campus Public Information Officer, College/School PAD Coordinators, and Extension Campus Coordinators, is responsible for promoting the programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) of the University and keeping the public abreast with updated information and developments. As the public affairs and communication arm of USeP, PAD ensures that all communication efforts of the University, together with its academic units, offices, and organizations, are in line with the USeP’s efforts in attaining the vision of being an agent of transformation in the ASEAN and beyond.

During the 175th Board of Regents (BOR) Meeting held on July 29, 2019 at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office, Quezon City, the BOR had approved Resolution No. 67A s. 2019, approving the proposed revision on the organizational structure of the University.

This revision of the organizational structure of the University included the breakup of the Office of the Public and International Affairs (OPIA) thereby creating two (2) separate offices namely,

1.International Affairs Division (IAD), and
2.Public Affairs Division (PAD)

In the said revision, the University can consider organizing five (5) units under the Public Affairs Division (PAD) namely,

1.Public Relations Office
2.Brand and Design
3.Campaigns and Digital Communications Office
4.Events Office*
5.News and Information Office

*The tasks of the proposed ‘Events’ Office are currently being handled by the Event Management Committee.

To strengthen the University’s public relations, the Public Affairs Division (PAD) shall:

Provide the public with relevant information about the University;
Implement policies on internal and external communications;
Address concerns of University stakeholders received through various communication channels;
Enforce policies on University branding; and,
Collaborate with concerned Delivery Units in the conduct of University events.
