On November 27, 2024, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) and the City Government of Tagum formalized their partnership by signing Memoranda of Agreements (MoAs), marking a significant milestone in their shared commitment to education and community development. The signing ceremony was graced by key representatives from both institutions, including City Administrator Mr. Edgar C. De Guzman, representing Tagum City Mayor Hon. Rey T. Uy; Tagum City Health Officer Dr. Arnel D. Florendo; USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr.; USeP Vice President for Quality Assurance Dr. Tamara Cher Mercado; USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus (TMC) Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva; USeP TMC Vice-Chancellor Dr. Cesar A. Limbaga, Jr.; and USeP School of Medicine Dean Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, along with the faculty of the School of Medicine.
As part of the ceremony, the City Government of Tagum officially turned over campus kiosks to the University, underscoring its commitment to enhancing educational facilities and fostering a more conducive learning environment.
In his address, Mr. De Guzman reaffirmed the city governmentโ€™s dedication to supporting educational initiatives and nurturing a strong partnership with USeP. Dr. Gabales expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation, emphasizing the pivotal role of collaborative efforts in achieving mutual goals for education and community upliftment.
