The Mintal Student Council (MinSC) has recently joined the “Eco-Summit 2022 – Naglangkob ang Nagkada-iyang ideya Alang sa Kinaiyahanon” on April 29 and 30 through the invitation of the Students’ Environmental Alliance of Davao (SEAD). This activity aimed to inspire student leaders in Mindanao to create their respective platforms and formulate a more responsive and productive undertaking to ensure that their respective campuses shall act as frontrunners for a sustainable eco-friendly institution conducive to education and learning. Interim Internal Vice President Frances Jullen D. Vertudes, General Secretary Alexandria Loi D. Macatual, and Interim General Treasurer Danielle G. Doblon represented MinSC to the summit.

Through their participation in the summit, the MinSC has gained inputs that shall help on its formulation of environmental policies that can be enforced in the campus. As one of the activity’s speakers stated, “we are now in climate urgency and there should be an immediate action”.
