CBA observes preventive measures vs. COVID-2019

The College of Business Administration took precautionary measures in view of the national government’s Code Red alert over Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

Last Monday, March 9, through the initiative of the Financial Management Students’ Society (FiMSS), alcohol-based rub products are made available to the students, faculty, and staff. The Organization, as part of its social responsibility, wants to raise awareness and concerns not limited to academic matters, but also to the current issues faced by the society.

FiMSS provided liters of alcohol which are placed outside the classrooms. Before entering the classrooms, everyone is advised to sanitize his/her hands to avoid the risk of transmission of the COVID-19 outbreak. Students and faculty are also highly encouraged to bring their own tumblers and drink water from time to time.

This simple means of helping and reminding the public to sanitize highlights the importance of prevention and staying safe, especially at school where interactions are inevitable.

COVID-2019 is a highly infectious disease of global public health concern which originated in China in December 2019. The national government has already declared a health emergency on March 9 following a surge in new confirmed cases and local transmission.
