
On February 28, 2025, the General Education (GenEd) Department of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) successfully held an orientation for part-time faculty as well as faculty coaching and mentoring session at the University Hostel Training Hall, USeP Obrero Campus.
The morning session kicked off with an opening remarks from CAS Dean Dr. Marnie Grace I. Sonico followed by the Head of the General Education Department Associate Professor Luden L. Baterina, who explained the University’s academic policies. Representatives from the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) and the Finance Division (FD) were also in attendance.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to faculty coaching and mentoring including Gender Sensitivity in the classroom, led by CAS GenEd faculty Ms. Fe Monique M. Tagaytay.
The sessions provided the faculty members with valuable insights, ensuring alignment with University policies and enhancing the overall effectiveness of delivery of GenEd courses.
