ICAS 2023 Day 1 Highlights


The International Conference on Arts and Sciences (ICAS) 2023 took off with a remarkable exchange of knowledge and experience as our participating scholars delve deeper into the breathtaking world of Mathematics, Statistics, and Natural Sciences!

 
Researchers from all over the Philippines and around the world gathered to learn, engage, and be inspired with the invaluable information shared by the conference’s distinguished speakers for Day 1, November 23, 2023.
 
Masters of ceremony Mr. Khmer Griffin Alonzo and Ms. Sheila Grace Europa welcomed the crowd and announced the commencement of the 2-day conference, followed by the opening remarks given by Dr. Reynaldo M. Nogodula, Director of the University’s International Affairs Division. The University President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., also graced the event with his inspirational message.
 
Student and faculty researchers marveled at such academically delightful talks by Dr. Walter Rainer Roth, Professor of Mathematics from Germany, with his topic “Duality – Why Mathematicians Like Mirrors?”, and the topic “Manufacturing Challenges for Biologics Production in Japan” by Dr. Takeshi Omasa, Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, Japan.
 
With moderators Dr. Marnie Grace I. Sonico (Natural Sciences) and Asst. Prof. Anthony F. Capili (Mathematics and Statistics), the afternoon session comprised of research presentations given by scholars from different academic institutions, focusing on the disciplines of Mathematics, Statistics, and Natural Sciences.
 
The excitement continues as we bring you the Day 2 of ICAS 2023, with topics on Social Sciences, Language, and Literature, tomorrow, November 24, 2023.
