USeP-CAS conducted the Balik Scientist Research Forum

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) conducted the Balik Scientist research forum at the Dining Hall, University Hostel on August 20, 2024.

Balik Scientist Research Forum is organized by Balik Scientist fellow, Dr. Irma Tandingan-de Ley, who was Associate Project Scientist of the Department of Nematology of the University of California-Riverside. The research forum features Loel B. Dalan who supervised under Dr. Tandingan-de Ley.

Dalan graduated Magna cum laude at Ghent University, Belgium with the degree Master of Science in Agro-and Environmental- Nematology. He presented the life history traits of Caenorhabditis brenneri and Allodiplogaster sudhasi: a tale of two nematodes.

Present during the forum are Dr. Marnie Grace I. Sonico, Dean of CAS; Mr. Yves Paul M. Montero, Program Head of BS Biology; BS Biology Students; and representatives from Davao del Sur State College.
