USeP-CAS successfully conducts the orientation on the use of college science laboratory

On August 20, 2025, the College of Arts and Sciences-Science Laboratory held an orientation session for students enrolled in Natural Sciences Laboratory courses. The comprehensive session included a detailed presentation of the laboratory rooms and facilities, an in-depth discussion of laboratory rules and policies, explanations of penalties for violations, and step-by-step procedures for borrowing lab equipment. The orientation was delivered by Mr. Arthur Domingo, Jr. and Ms. Ellen Joy Liray, ensuring that students fully understand the importance of safety, proper lab conduct, and responsible use of resources.

Mr. Vinieboy Sagayan also conducted a guided tour showcasing the different laboratory rooms and the equipment available for the students’ academic needs. Participants included students from BS Biology, BS Mathematics, and BS Statistics programs.

These laboratory guidelines are crucial and apply not only to students of the College of Arts and Sciences but to all students taking Natural Sciences Laboratory courses across the University. This initiative aims to promote a safe, efficient, and respectful learning environment that supports both academic excellence and research activities.
