CIC Conducts Orientation on Anti-Sexual Harassment and Safe Spaces Act


The College of Applied Economics, College of Information and Computing, College of Technology, and College of Development Management conduct an “Orientation on Anti-Sexual Harassment and Safe Spaces Act” for its undergraduate and graduate school students. This is part of the series of orientations organized by the Gender and Development Office of the University intended for all the members of the University. Atty. Jesus Agora Villardo III, Director of Office of Legal Affairs of the University, serves as Resource Speaker.

This activity aimed at equipping participants with appropriate information regarding issues affecting gender and development such as sexual harassment and its various forms and the crucial steps that a victim should consider. Specifically, this activity aims to:

1. Provide the participants with the most recent information regarding sexual harassment cases and the laws being implemented against them;
2. Educate the participants on their respective roles as social agents in the academe; and
3. Inform the participants of preventive methods for sexual harassment.
