USeP-SoM participates in APMC Faculty Development Program on Leadership and Management for Academic Executives of Medical Schools


The Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC) recently concluded its Faculty Development Program on Leadership and Management for Academic Executives of Medical Schools, marking the successful culmination of a two-day event held at the Bayview Park Hotel Manila on November 16 – 17, 2023.

This prestigious gathering brought together esteemed deans from medical schools across Luzon and Mindanao, providing a platform for collaborative learning and knowledge exchange. The event aimed to enhance leadership and management skills among academic executives in the medical education sector.

Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, the Dean of the University of Southeastern Philippines- School of Medicine (USeP-SoM), was among the presenters during the workshop. Dr. Guillano discussed their output on the recruitment and retention of faculty in new medical schools, employing a problem analysis through the log frame approach.

The USeP-SoM Faculty Development Committee Chairman, Dr. Franklin Guillano, actively participated in the seminar-workshop, further enriching the discussions with his expertise. The two-day event facilitated in-depth dialogues, interactive workshops, and presentations, offering a dynamic platform for academic executives to share experiences and strategies.
