The University of Southeastern Philippines – Obrero produces three top-notchers in the recent August 2023 Mining Engineers Licensure Examination.
Franklin Mejorada Jr. emerged as the top 2 with a rating of 88.00 percent. Alongside Mejorada, Orpheus Linaza Jr. also joined the list of topnotchers as the top 5 with a 85.85 percent rating. Completing the list of topnotchers from the university is Eures Al Ken Hablero, top 10 with a 85.20 percent rating.
Along with the three top-notchers, 33 other alumni of the institution also passed the licensure exam. The university also garnered a total passing rate of 87.80 percent, with 36 examinees passing the exam out of 41.
The national passing rate was 68.95 percent, as 242 passed out of the 351 examinees who took the exam this August.
With this, the University of Southeastern Philippines was recognized as the second top performing school alongside University of the Philippines Diliman and Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology
The Mining Engineers Licensure Examination was administered at various testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao, and Legaspi by the Board of Mining Engineering.
