Discussion Highlights: The 89th National Book Week Celebration theme is ‘’Read, Reread, Relive!’’ with the primary aim to revive the passion and love of reading. This activity was celebrated last November 24-30, 2023. The University of Southeastern Philippines Learning Resource Center adheres to the mandate of celebrating National Book Week every year. As part of this celebration the ULRC conducted its first ULRC International Dialogue last November 29, 2023 with the theme of the event ‘’iDia2023: Building Connections through Global Librarians’ through zoom. It is an open discussion that focuses on Library Planning, Library Technology, and Library Marketing. The activity commences with Opening Remarks from OIC-VPAA, Dr. Tamara Cher R. Mercado. The ULRC is also privileged to have the University President, Dr. Bonifacio Gabales, Jr., as he delivers his Inspirational Message. The activity is attended by the Librarians, BLIS Students, and Guest Speakers from the University of North Florida - Ms. Annie Delima Alomar, the current President of the American Library Association - Ms. Emily Drabinski, and an expert in Research, EdTech, and Digital Publishing - Sir Joseph Goh. The event wouldn’t be successful without these three brilliant speakers, who possess knowledge and expertise in the field of librarianship and IT. It ends with full of insights, ideas, and contributed knowledge, which will surely bring a positive change towards our librarianship profession and motivation towards library work.
