
The College of Applied Economics (CAEc) – Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) in Mindanao congratulates the IA PMD Team for winning the BEST PAPER award under the Business, Economics, and Governance Cluster during this year’s University-wide Research, Development and Extension (RDE) In-House Review and Policy Pitching Competition, on July 24, 2025. The competition was conducted through Zoom Teleconferencing, where each team from various clusters presented an innovative solution from various fields.
The paper entitled “Impact Assessment of the Project on the Development of Sustainable Breeder Philippine Mallard Duck Production (PMD) System” was highly recognized for its comprehensive analysis and significant contributions to the field. This impactful research is part of the DOST-PCAARRD-funded project jointly implemented by the Partido State University (ParSU) and the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), a collaborative effort, co-authored by esteemed faculty members of CAEc headed by Dr. Roperto S. Deluna, Jr., Dr. Ronald D. Estrada, Dr. Christopher D. Balubayan, Asst. Prof. Christine R. Varquez-Abines, and the Project Technical Staff, Mr. Rain Cesar B. Arana and Mr. Dave S. Roblis.
A special recognition to Mr. Rain Cesar B. Arana, who excellently presented the paper to the evaluators, successfully conveying the depth and relevance of their findings. This award stands as a clear testament to the team’s dedication, hard work, and passion for impactful socio-economic research.
