USeP – CAEc in Partnership with the Universitas Brawijaya launched the 1st International Lecture Series on Interational Trade


The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) – College of Applied Economics (CAEc) officially kicked off its collaborative lecture series with Universitas Brawijaya (UB) on October 16, 2025, with an in-depth exploration of the Philippine economic framework.

The inaugural session, titled โ€œNavigating International Trade in the ASEAN Regions: The Case of the Philippines,โ€ delivered by Dr. Jennifer E. Hinlo, Dean of College of Applied Economics (CAEc), bringing together over 200 undergraduate students including graduate students and faculty staffs from the Universitas Brawijaya (UB).

Dr. Hinlo provided an in-depth discussion of the Philippines’ strategic position within the global market. The discussion centered on the specific tariff structures and regulatory frameworks that Philippinesโ€™ employ to balance domestic protectionism with its commitments to ASEAN economic integration.
