The College of Applied Economics proudly congratulates its student researchers for their remarkable participation and achievements during the 1st National Student Research and Innovation Conference (NaSRIC) 2026, held on May 4โ5, 2026 via Zoom Video Conferencing.
Special congratulations to Lian R. Cataytay for being recognized as Best Presenter, and to the authors of the paper โDid CARP Slow Philippine Agriculture? A National Counterfactual Analysis Using Synthetic Control MethodโโLian R. Cataytay, Dr. Roperto S. Deluna Jr., and Feby Kirstine A. Evangelio, MSc โfor receiving the Best Paper Award under Track 23 โ Economic Development and Policy.
The College also congratulates Wella Linao, together with her co-authors Dr. Jennifer Hinlo, Rizamae Palen, MBA, and Dr. Christopher Balubayan, for receiving the Best Paper Award under Track 17 โ Nursing Education and Clinical Practice for their paper โPolicy Effectiveness and Health Care in the Philippines: An Interrupted Time Series Approach.โ
Further, CAEc commends the successful presentation and acceptance of the papers of Ma. Jomelie G. Mantos and Ma. Teresa P. Balante, together with their co-author Dr. Roperto S. Deluna Jr., whose studies contributed to meaningful discussions on fair trade, women empowerment, and social cohesion in the Philippine coconut industry.
These accomplishments reflect the dedication, research competence, and growing scholarly potential of CAEc students in addressing relevant socio-economic and policy issues through evidence-based research.
