USeP scholars earn master’s degree in cultural education

[READ] The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) proudly celebrated the achievement of Dr. Benjie Q. Badon and Dr. Sharon R. Tabile, who graduated as part of the pioneering batch of the Master of Education in Cultural Education (MAEd-CulEd) program. Both scholars began their journey under the Graduate Diploma in Cultural Education in 2018, a program implemented through USePโ€™s partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). This collaboration underscores the advancement of inclusive and quality education, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.

Dr. Badon and Dr. Tabile completed their masterโ€™s degree at Notre Dame of Marbel University, with commencement exercises held on April 11, 2026. As members of the first cohort, their graduation marks a significant milestone in strengthening cultural educationโ€”a field that integrates culture and heritage into teaching and learning.

Their academic journey reflects a steadfast commitment to cultural advocacy and lifelong learning, from their early training in the diploma program to the successful completion of their masterโ€™s degree. USeP recognizes their accomplishment as a testament to its continued collaboration with the NCCA in promoting culturally responsive education and preserving Filipino heritage through academic initiatives.
