Project 1: Project EnggKindle is under the program ILAYAG and IWAHIG: Household Electrification Sustainability and Water System Installation in Sitio Igang, Talaingod, Davao del Norte. It aims at sustaining the household electrification (HE) PISOLAR project earlier implemented by the University to Sitio Igang with 19 beneficiaries. PISOLAR is a DOST-funded R&D project with a pay-as-you-go payment system for payment of solar home system (SHS).
As part of the extension activities of the College of Engineering, the ILAYAG ug IWAHIG Extension Program, extensionist Engr. Filman Simpao from the College of Engineering and Dr. Philip Despares from the College of Technology conduct a Social and Technical Training last November 20, 2021, to the Ata-Manobo Community. It was a whole day activity with the following topics to be discussed: (1) Household Electrification Overviews, (2) Load Management, (3) Basic Recordation and Collection, (4) Basic Electricity, and (5) Solar Home System Hands-on.
