USeP College of Engineering conducts on-site CHED COPC Evaluation and Validation


The USeP College of Engineering successfully conducted the CHED on-site Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) Evaluation and Validation for its six undergraduate degree programs and a graduate degree program held on July 20-21, 2022 at University Social Hall, Obrero Campus.

The CHED Technical Committee was headed by Dr. Peter M. Ureta. He was also the evaluator for the BS Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering Program major in Civil Engineering. Other members of the technical committee were Engr. Cesar C. Coronado for the BS in Electrical Engineering and Master of Engineering major in Electrical Engineering, Dr. May Rose C. Imperial for the BS Electronics Engineering and Master of Engineering major in Electronics Engineering, Dr. Manuel C. Belino for the BS in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Engineering major in Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Dolores Cleofas for the BS in Sanitary Engineering. Dr. Herman Mendoza and Engr. Nestor Encinas evaluated the BS in Mining Engineering via zoom.

Also present at the event were Engr. Fernandita Calimlim, Education Specialist CHED Central Office, Dr. Luis D. Perez, Chief Education Program Specialist, CHED XI, Engr. Maria Christina B. Condez, Education Specialist for Engineering & Technology CHED XI, and Ms. Clarizze Angelu Aquino from CHED Central Office. Mr. Arman Anthony Cesa, from CHED Central Office also joined via zoom.

The CoE COPC working committee is headed by the College Dean, Dr. Dalia M. Reconalla, together with Engr. Lynneth C. Soronda, QA Head, Engr. Randy M. Tongson, Associate Dean and Master of Engineering Program Head, and the different program heads namely Engr. Eduardo S. Torrico for Civil Engineering, Engr. Rosanna C. Ucat for Electronics Engineering, Engr. Froilan G. Sison for Electrical Engineering, Engr. Dennis G. Rebuta for Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Mark John S. Pag-alaman for Mining Engineering and Engr. Kathleen C. Cedeño for Sanitary Engineering. The faculty members of the College of Engineering were also present on the event.

The College of Engineering extends its warmest gratitude to the top management of the University, CHED Technical Committee, CHED RO XI, CHED CO, COPC Unit, Working Committee, faculty and staff of the College and the Public Affairs Division for the unwavering support and successful conduct of the said event.
