ABOUT THE OFFICE


The Certificate of Program Compliance (CoPC) Unit is a new unit established on February 18, 2020, under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, with Special Order No. 248, series of 2020. The unit, spearheaded by the University COPC Focal Person, is mandated to perform the following functions:
Serve as the USeP Focal Person in the conduct of CHED monitoring and evaluation for the compliance of University programs to their respective Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSGs)
Identify electronic documents that may be considered common across programs and may be shared among colleges
Manage the eMonitoring System that is provided by CHED for the University
Conduct training and assistance for colleges, when necessary, on the electronic submission of their documents in the CHED eMonitoring System
Conduct initial assessment of electronic documents submitted by colleges in relation to their application for Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC)
Supervise the Evaluators who will conduct program evaluation at the University level and who will recommend necessary actions for the program to be eventually applied for COPC.
The unit adheres to its Office Quality Objectives on a daily basis. The following declared Office Quality Objectives are:
Ensure readiness of the programs in the application for Certification of Program Compliance (COPC) to the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).
Provide assistance to different programs and colleges in complying with the minimum requirements of the program's Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSGs) prescribed by CHEd.
Act as the focal unit in organizing and managing the CHEd eMonitoring System.
