The Qualifying Round of the Philippine Statistics Quiz Hunt was successfully conducted on September 26, 2025, at the College of Arts and Sciences through the collaborative efforts of the Mathematics and Statistics Department and the United Statistics Students Organization.
Forty-seven outstanding first-year students demonstrated their statistical skills, determination, and intellectual rigor as they took on the challenge.
The program was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Marnie Grace I. Sonico, Dean of CAS; Dr. Anthony F. Capili, BS Statistics Program Head; Asst. Prof. Aries P. Valeriano; Assoc. Prof. Fe F. Largo; and Dr. Roel F. Ceballos, whose meaningful contributions guided the success of the event.
With the steadfast support of the Mathematics and Statistics faculty and the United Statistics Students Organization, the event underscored not only the participants’ knowledge of statistics but also their dedication, creativity, and perseverance.
