The College of Education (CEd) submitted itself to a Program Quality Assessment (PQA) for the Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics (MAT- Math) and Master of Arts and Science in Teaching Biology/Physics (MAST Biology/Physics) programs last March 12, 2020. This is in preparation for the Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on April 13-17, 2020.

USeP’s Quality Assurance Division (QAD) has targeted the programs submitted for PSV before they are submitted to Level I visit by AACCUP after six (6) months. It can be recalled that CEd is one of the colleges in the University that already has programs which were submitted for Level IV accreditation.

The Planning and Quality Assurance Team of USeP, led by Asst. Prof. Winda B. Cejas, assessed the availability and readiness of the documents required of these programs for the PSV level. The PQA team lauds the College of Education for passing the assessment and for both programs having been successfully recommended for the AACUP visit in April.

Dr. Reynaldo M. Nogodula, Dean of the College of Education (CEd), hopes that with these two programs submitted to AACCUP for PSV accreditation, all programs of the College are accredited. This is a manifestation of CEd’s continuing commitment to uphold to sustaining the standards of academic programs of the university, he added. (ACabajes/MNeri/RMAAcedo)
